Scotty B Overdose Awareness Day 2026

Thursday, August 27, 2026

This is what showing up looked like.

On August 27, our community came together for Scotty B Overdose Awareness Day with love, remembrance, harm reduction, music, connection, and care. The day was made possible by people and organizations who chose to show up for neighbors impacted by overdose, substance use, recovery, grief, homelessness, and survival.

Not just sponsors. Community.

We are deeply grateful for every sponsor who helped make the 2026 gathering possible. Their support helped create a space where people were remembered, supported, seen, and loved without shame or judgment.

With heart, not distance.

This is what it looked like when people chose to meet the community where they were at. It looked like care. It looked like presence. It looked like people deciding that every life was worth showing up for.

Remembrance We honored the lives, names, stories, and love that continue to matter.
Harm reduction We shared practical tools, education, connection, and safer-use support.
Community care Together, we created a space where people were met with dignity and compassion.

Because of this support, the day happened.

Sponsorship and personal support made room for remembrance, education, music, connection, harm reduction, and care. Together, we held space for grief and hope at the same time.

To every sponsor, personal donor, community partner, volunteer, speaker, and neighbor who said yes, thank you. Thank you for believing in this community. Thank you for standing with people impacted by overdose, substance use, recovery, grief, homelessness, and survival. Thank you for helping us carry Scotty B’s legacy forward with love.
